The Essential Value of a Hands-On Science Education: Research, Empirical Evidence and Practical Application
Research in child and adolescent development supports the need for hands on experiences in education. Empirical evidence clarifies how this process is essential for neurological development and is instrumental in developing learning skills across the curriculum. This is a workshop explores why hands-on learning is essential in education and provides an opportunity to create activities for your classroom that support the scientific method in the form of experiential learning across academic areas. Workshop participants are invited to submit a lesson or topic or curriculum standards/objectives that they would like to develop into activities for their own use.
